Target Sundays at CAAM – Telling our stories, experiencing our art & sharing our history!
Through the eyes and voices of traditional and contemporary artists, community leaders, cultural historians, activists, and educators, this once-a-month Sunday cultural experience, hosted by Jeffrey Anderson Gunter, celebrates the diverse influences and achievements of art and culture from the African American Diaspora.
The 2011-2012 season includes an engaging hands-on art project guided each month by local professional artist and educator Teresa Tolliver. Participants create their own art piece based on a unique theme each month. (photo of Nita Whitaker LaFontaine by Earl Dotson)
