THE MARCH ON WASHINGTON: A TRIBUTE, 50 YEARS LATER - August 27, 2013 August 24, 2014

Men and women representing a diverse cross-section of the U.S. population traveled great distances to converge on the mall of Washington, DC. In a unified voice, they demanded jobs, freedom, and equality for all. The August 28, 1963, March on Washington became one of many watershed moments in the struggle for Civil Rights. We celebrate this historical event with a tribute to the thousands of "foot soldiers" who made a tangible difference in the lives of future generations
and impacted our society for the better.
