Come join us as we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s 84th birthday with a slate of documentary films, storytelling in our galleries, a community art project, and a slice of birthday cake in Dr. King's honor.

THE DREAM @ 50 AWARDS CEREMONY - 3PM TO 4:30 PM
At the August 1963 March on Washington for Freedom and Jobs, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. recited his now famous I Have a Dream speech. In honor of the 50th anniversary of that occasion, CAAM will host The Dream @ 50 Awards. This ceremony will honor the winning artists from the LA Unified School District's elementary, middle and high schools whose artwork best exemplifies the values and vision articulated in Dr. King's momentous speech.
