EVENT: SCREENING & DISCUSSION - 'WHITE WASH' (2012, 78 mins.) - 1PM - 4PM

Meet the experts, learn the tricks, and see the film!  Join us for an afternoon of building awareness about the history and excitement for water sports and water safety with the LA County Life Guards, Black Surfing Association, Black Surfers Collective, LA Black Underwater Explorers, and Heal the Bay.  Program activities begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by the 2:00 p.m. documentary screening of WHITE WASH, an exploration of race in America from the perspective of Black surfers.  Post-screening discussion will follow with the film's participants:  Ted Woods, Rick Blocker, Alison R.
